Acai Bowls. Amazing, right?
If you haven’t heard of them, you’re probably not from California and have never visited California. Okay – that’s a broad statement. I only say that because I was introduced to acai bowls when I was in California and get AT LEAST 2-3 bowls each time I visit.
Acai bowls look like ice cream, almost taste like ice cream, and are super healthy! An acai bowl is basically a really thick smoothie that’s been topped with granola, fruit and/or peanut butter. It’s healthy but tastes indulgent. It’s a win-win! Acai has TONS of health benefits ranging from: heart health, weight loss, healthy skin, improved digestion, and even anti-aging effects!
Sounds pretty amazing…right? What if I told you that I developed an even healthier & TASTIER version of an acai bowl. Yep – I am introducing you to not-your-average acai bowl.In addition to the amazingness that is a part of a regular acai bowl, mine has: whey protein, chia, flax, pomegranate, rose hips, enzymes, probiotics, prebiotics, vitamins A, B6, C, D, E, and K, biotin, riboflavin, and more. Without me going into the benefits of each of those ingredients, I’ll recap what all of that means. In one serving you will:
- Gain energy
- Lower blood pressure
- Reduce the likelihood of getting diabetes and/or reduce the symptoms of diabetes

Here’s my exact recipe:
1 packet vegan (or regular) strawberry Shakeology
1/2 cup almond milk
1 large banana
1 scoop digestive health boost (optional)
1/4 cup granola
6 ice cubes
1 tsp raw honey
- Blend the strawberry shakeology, almond milk, digestive health boost & 1/2 the large banana.
- Pour mixture in a glass or bowl
- Layer granola, then banana, then top with honey
- Pat yourself on the back, and ENJOY!
